Our recommended spots across Surrey and Hampshire for a picnic
Here are our top 10 picnic suggestions in no particular order for you to consider when purchasing our Classic Car Picnic Package. Some are more known destinations and some are our own personal favourites. All picnic spots have lovely driving roads to get to from our base here in Weybridge.
1. Boxhill
Enjoy a beautiful drive to the renowned picnic spot from which to take in stunning views of the Surrey Hills. No entry fee.
Parking: For non-members of the National Trust, parking costs £1.50 per hour for the first two hours, £4 for up to four hours and £6 for five hours and above. Trust members can park for free.

2. Petworth House
After a beautiful drive through the South Downs, enjoy a picnic at Petworth. A National Trust property with charged entry. Parking available

3. Devil's Punchbowl
A beautiful drive rewards you with this renowned beauty spot offering spectacular views and unlimited picnic locations.
Parking: For non-members of the National Trust parking costs £1.50 per hour for the first two hours, £4 for up to four hours and £6 for 5 hours and above. Tickets can be purchased at the on-site café or by mobile phone with RingGo. Trust members can park for free.

4. Virginia Water
Take a lovely drive to Virginia Water which will provide you with a stunning lake as a backdrop to your picnic. One of our favourite destinations on the edge of Windsor Great Park.

5. Leith Hill
Picnicking around Leith Hill Tower has been a popular pursuit since the 19th century. what better place to take a vintage car and sumptuous picnic! Victorian day-trippers eating al fresco on the gentle slopes of the Hill was a very common sight.
Parking: Free parking in designated areas along the road at the foot of the hill. Rhododendron Wood car park costs £3.50, by donation, for non-trust members.

6. Painshill Park
A very close location for those looking for more time to picnic and less driving. A Grade 1 listed garden, Painshill was created between 1738 and 1773 by the Honourable Charles Hamilton after he was inspired by Renaissance landscape painting. a stunning location for a picnic! Ticketed entry from £10 each. Book in advanced.

7. Newark Lock
A beautiful discrete National Trust location next to the very picturesque River Wey. Close to our base but feels a million miles from anywhere. Picnic right next to the river in open countryside.

8. Waverley Abbey
A gloriously beautiful free to roam ruin of an Abbey dating back to 1128. Picnic within the walls of the original buildings.

9. Crondall Village
Explore this quintessential beautiful English village and picnic in the gorgeous park with views of the ancient church and wartime Pillbox as you are positioned on Englands planned last line of defence agains the German invasion that never happened.

10. Frensham Great Pond
enjoy a lovely drive sounth into the country towards Farnham. Boasting its own beach along side this beautiful glistening pond which is more of a lake, provides plenty of space for your picnic in over 400 acres of common land.
